Project Description
This design-build renovation project involved joining two early 20th century buildings, increasing the banks size by 75%. Design features include the creative use of existing exterior brick walls and vaulted glass ceiling, forming the new interior atrium entrance way. Construction was performed while the bank remained open to customers.

Scope: Needham Cooperative Bank needed additional space and purchased an adjacent abandoned brick bank separated by a 10’ alleyway. CHANNEL integrated the two distinctly different buildings with a new shared, accessible central entrance, ATM and wheelchair lifts to the different main floor levels on either side. Both sides were completely updated and renovated with new MEP systems integrated.
